So Close!!

GUYS IT'S FINALLY HERE!!! Tomorrow is Day 1 of my vacation, and also MY BIRTHDAY!! Woohoo 21 years tomorrow! I'm pretty excited for my birthday, but I'm waaayyy more excited about the days after that. The day after my birthday (Feb. 19th) is when I'm FINALLY leaving for my amazing Disney Marathon Vacation that I'm sure everyone is tired of hearing about. I don't actually fly to Florida until the 20th, Thursday morning. But non the less I am so excited!! I've never been to Florida and can not wait to experience it and see what it's like. I've been busy packing and training and trying not to spaz out every few seconds from excitement.

Today at work I mentioned something about my fabulous Disney Princess Half Marathon, and a guest at work asked if I was running it this year. I of course said yes, then she said that she's running it next year! That's twice that I've met someone this is going to be or has done the marathon already, while at work. You just never know who you're going to meet! So for all of those amazing people that are participating or are future participants, Good Luck! I know you can do it!

My costume is complete! My tutu is sitting in a suitcase and I cannot wait until I can wear it!. I did a little test run on our treadmill the other day in it, and let me just tell you...Running in a tutu is one of the funnest things EVER!! I can only imagine what it'll be like running in it in the actual event. It's so much fun when it bounces and definitely helps put you in the fun spirit and mood. Here's some pictures of what I have decided to wear:

My fabulous running shoes, knee high white socks, tutu (of course), and tank top...I even managed to pick out colors that went perfectly with my shoes, without even meaning to! Pretty awesome right?!?!

Other than getting ready and putting the finishing touches on my costume there hasn't been much time for other things. I have however been stocking up on plenty of amazing music for all of the plane rides and running that I'll be doing. Including PLENTY of Disney music, because, let's face it, it's amazing and you can't go to Disney World without at least some Disney music, it just doesn't work.

Besides Disney music, I have a ton of other great bands. Black Veil Brides, One Direction (yes I am a Directioner ;) ), 5 Seconds of Summer, Les Miserables sound track (if you haven't seen that movie go watch it right now!), ZZ Top, Bob Segar, Reece Mastin, Taylor Henderson, Gemini Syndrome, Halestorm, and a new favorite of mine Icon For Hire.

Icon For Hire is a great band with an amazing female lead singer. My two favorite songs are Get Well and Make A Move. I definitely suggest listening to them. As always don't judge by the fact that the lead singer has bright pink hair or that the guitarist has an (in my opinion) insanely awesome mohawk, just take a listen and decide on their talent, not their looks.

This time I'm trying to keep it short and sweet seeing as there's still so much to do, including sleep. If any of you have any questions about any of the bands I listed, want other suggestions, or want songs or links to videos just let me know, I am more than happy to help. Especially when it's my favorite topic of Music.

Love and Peace and Rock and Roll,

Shelby <3
